Precision Frameworx Inc started as a motorcycle frame manufacturer in 1999 after a local business couldn’t make a go of being a frame designer. Brent Robertson, owner of Precision Frameworx (PFX) took out a loan to acquire the failing business and started immediately to re-design the motorcycle frames to the ever-changing demands of enthusiasts.
In the early 2000s PFX was selling to every major magazine & TV builder in the world. As the popularity of motorcycle TV shows took off – the average motorcycle rider was realizing that if they could imagine it, they could have it.
As PFX was designing their motorcycle frames to sell to other bike builders, they were also building bikes to test out the R & D of fit and function of their frames. The local motorcycle enthusiasts stood up and took notice of PFX as being the “local” celebrity. Between 2001 and 2004, PFX was working out of a 3600 square foot double bay building and producing approximately 5 custom motorcycles a month with a staff of 6.
In the summer of 2004, PFX made a major move to a new 10,000 square foot shop, with a dedicated showroom, fab & welding area, lunch room, and service area. PFX also built an upstairs lounge area with retail space for apparel and gallery. The grand opening included other bike shop owners from all over Canada, 415 clothing from San Francisco, and world famous Billy Lane from Choppers Inc.
As PFX was building more complete hand-made custom bikes, they realized that they had to start offering service and preventative maintenance to their clients. To fulfill this necessity PFX sought out the best the market had to offer, and over the years PFX still maintains this criteria. PFX has full-time journeymen/women on staff for motorcycle mechanics and welding.
As demand for great customer service and “out of the box thinking” exists, in 2009 PFX started a “metric” service to new clients. In the same year PFX purchased a Dyno machine and offers complete tuning to all makes of motorcycles.
PFX is, and will always be here for the love of motorcycles. In the ever changing world of motorcycles, PFX will be there as well.
